Cancercare’s Langenhoven Drive Oncology Centre is 10 minutes from the Port Elizabeth Airport, which is 90 minutes by air from Cape Town International Airport, as well as from Johannesburg International Airport.
The unit was established in 1994 and was previously attached to the St George’s Hospital before moving to the corner of Langenhoven Drive and Mangold Street. The unit is known for the pioneer work it did in GVI Oncology [now Cancercare] to establish clinical trials within the group.
Port Elizabeth offers some of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa and is renowned for its dolphins which frequent the bay and are often visible from the shore. The Shamwari Game Lodge and the Addo Elephant Park are well known wildlife attractions, and are all within easy reach of the city centre.
